Prologue
On a dark, stormy night in a small encampment the sound of gun shots in the distance could be heard from miles away, artillery shelling’s were coming to a stop, the wind howling like some wild pack of wolves hunting for its prey began to ascend on the small encampment, bringing along with it a fowl stench of rotting flesh.
‘a1’ “god i can’t believe we gotta stay in this s**thole”.
‘a2’ “yea i know, that was a lucky escape from the clutches of those helghan scum”.
‘a1’ “well least the artillery shelling has stopped, guess it be a peaceful night after all”
‘Cmdr’ “listen up you worthless pieces of rotten maggots, one of you lucky son’s of bitches have stay on guard tonight”.
‘snp’ “gez captain we have only just escaped from that hell hole and were all
tired can’t......”.
‘cmdr’ “oh what do we have here a volunteer, well count yourself on 1st watch son,”.
‘snp’ “s**t!!! (whispering under his cold breath) sir yes sir!!!”.
‘a1’ “looks like were in for a descent night sleep”.
‘rec’ “ guess you didn’t hear what he did last time he was on watch then”.
‘a2’ “’rec’ cut the s**t out man no one wants to hear you stories”
‘a1’ “well if its going to get me killed then i wanna hear him out ‘a2’”.
‘rec’ “well about a week ago ‘snp’ was on watch 1st time he in the field as out last sniper got picked off his brains half hanging out, but any ways he was our replacement and captain wanted to see if he was up to his squad requirement’s, lets just say the night was less than peaceful”.
‘a1 + a2’ walk off after hearing the story that ‘rec’ had just told them with a slightly new outlook on the new member to there squad, as they approach the torn, dirty, tent on which the captain was in with the radio tech, some think didn’t seem quite right, all around the battlefield fell silent, the men in the encampment rushed to there emplacement’s, all around the sounds of guns being lock’n’loaded, feet rushing around the dark, dirty, wet, muddy place, men whispering “what the hells going on” could be heard threw the silence of the blowing wind, the captain rushed out of the tent.
‘cmd’ “what the hells going on!!!!!!”.
‘Soldier’ “sir th... there coming!!!!!”.
‘cmd’ “wh.....!!!”.
Before the soldier could get the 1st word out of his dry, crisp lips, a gun shot could be heard before everyone knew it, the soldier fell on his knees as if he was praying, blood shot all over the captain.
‘cmd’ “Move! Move! Move!....... get to your position’s men!!!!”.
For a few minutes the men of regiment 101 were shocked with the accuracy of the enemy sniper, as the stormy whether began to grow stronger and the lightening stronger in the distance a weird sound could be heard, not one the men were familiar with.
‘a1’ “what the hell is that”
‘a2’ “I’m not sure but whatever it is it doesn’t sound too good”
‘rec’ “ Yo ‘snp’ get your *BEEP* in cover now!!!”
‘snp’ stood there like the world was just rushing by, nothing but his rifle in his hand dripping off it was the cold rain that had just began to pour, he stood there for a few minutes with the eyes of many looking on him, ‘snp’ gripped his rifle and hide behind cover, the men could hear whispering from behind the old, rusty, wet ammo create, but before they could say anything to each other, all hell broke loose.
In the distance artillery shells were raining down just as fast as the rain was, men were tasting the sheer raw power of the enemy’s brutal force, it fell quite for a minute, then BOOM!!!!!! Shells were coming from every direction, men were blown to pieces, limbs flying everywhere, the sheer noise of the shooting artillery struck fear in some men’s hearts, out in the distance men shouting “in coming” but it was no use there voices drowned out by the incoming and exploding shells all around them, the smoke from the shells left a burning sensation in some of the guys throats, as one guy took a drink to see if it would help, a faint shot was heard from the distance, as the soldier looked on and watched his friends throat explode and his face and uniform covered in his friends blood, he turned around and saw what could only be described as hell, people he got to train and talk with were dying all around blood painted the walls the ammo, the guns of the encampment, as the night began to fall silent and people trying to see who’s alive and who’s not as cries were heard of the dying and injured, the captain stood upon an ammo create and gave a speech only gods could have made.
“Once again we have felt the might of the enemy, once again we have lost brave courageous men, some that were loyal and served us to the best of there ability’s, they have shown that they are an worthy enemy that are not to be under estimated, they are going to pay for the blood they have shed today, they will pay for the damage they have caused, but once again we have proven ourselves in the heat of battle, in the heat of the moment, we are the yet to bask in the victories of battle, but hear me now here me this day, regiment 101 will be disbanded, we will form on a new name a new start a new mission, we will strike fear into the enemies heart’s. We will show that we can give as good as we can get, BLOODWARRIORS MOVE OUT!!!!!!!!”.
