Buylebros Objective by Objective, Map by Map 4v4 Guide Empty
PostSubject: Buylebros Objective by Objective, Map by Map 4v4 Guide   Buylebros Objective by Objective, Map by Map 4v4 Guide EmptyThu Aug 20, 2009 8:44 pm

Ok, some of you already know i was the leader of krbk, and officer in dvld(driver drivers) and both of those clans were ranked in the top (Krbk #20, and dvld #7)

so i just wanted to post some of the strategys we used and hopefully we can use them in BW to get better

Maps:
Radec Academy
Tharsis Depot

Missions:
Body Count *(ISA and HGH)*
Search and Retrieve
Capture and Hold
Search and Destroy (ISA Attack)
Search and Destroy (ISA Defend)
Search and Destroy (HGH Attack)
Search and Destroy (HGH Defend)
Assassination *(ISA and HGH)*

Classes:
1x Tactician (Usually that tactician should have C4)
1x Medic (with med packs or C4) -- only a medic if needed such as on Assassination
3x Enigneers (usually have 1 - 2 air bots, and the 3rd engineer should go C4)

*Depends on map/mission*

Strategies:

Radec Academy:

Run Down:
The most popular map, especially for 4v4. The map is pretty much completely symmetrical and fair to both factions. The base camp spawns are very well protected by being bigger and more secluded from the map. You'll want a Medic on this only if the person being medic is real good with then M82 otherwise we should only have 1 medic on assassination, The Tactician will be placing spawn points farther away from the action than usual in order to protect it from being camped. It's a fast paced map so you want people up and running at all times. ALWAYS put turrets and air support in the middle after every mission. This will guarantee the whole middle part of the map in case its Assassination, Capture and Hold or Search and Retrieve.

Body Count (ISA):
You're best bet is to camp the auditorium (the Capture and Hold point closest to the ISA base camp). The two square rooms isn't as good as a choice because you are more prone to shotgun death. In the auditorium you should have C4's at all entrances at all times. Try to stay in the auditorium, Tactician should have a spawn point inside, and on the stairs leading up to (it makes a good flank if the enemy breaches the auditorium). Keep 2 engineers at the top with turrets place incase they try to come from the bottom and run up, have the tactician and the last engineer coving the top of the auditorium and the hallway by the ISA S/D, must have turrets and C4 at the top.

Body Count (HGH):
This isn't much different than the ISA strategy. Use the library (the Capture and Hold point closes to the HGH base camp). Keep C4's and Engineers close to the top doors, and have your Tactician and engineers watching from afar. The benefit of this point is that it has two turrets that can be repaired, I suggest that the engineers do so.

Search and Retrieve:
A pretty straight forward game mode. Keep the middle under your control and either kill the carrier and bring it to your point, or bring it straight to your point from where the propaganda point spawns. Do Not throw spawns in the middle room. have turrets at both tops of the staircases, and have turrets in the middle area, and always keep airbots out in the center

Capture and Hold: have turrets at both tops of the staircases, and have turrets in the middle area, and always keep airbots out in the center
Always keep 2 engineers at the middle, reason for this is so they can always keep turrets and air bots out in the middle, the tacticain and the other engineer should go capture the one by your base. Always be holding 2/3 points. If one side needs help then go help them.

Search and Destroy (ISA Attack):
Try to put a lot of pressure on them with turrets around the plant site. Tactician will want to put a spawn point outside the building that holds the plant site and behind the left most book case. Medic needs to bring people up as soon as possible(if needed). if the other team has to many turrets up in the room, u must have someone go solider and use the LMG its the fastest way to clear out turrents, and its also good for moewing down all the peope. C4's on the stairs leading up to the site helps a whole lot.

Search and Destroy (ISA Defend):
You'll want C4's where they have to stand to plant. Tactician will place spawn on the railing platform to the left of the plant site, or inside the staircase right next to the tower, and one on the stairs so you can get a good flank if needed(2 of those 3). One turret in the hall way, three in the plant room. Do not put turrets in front of the entrance, it will attract grenades and you'll die before you get in the room.

Search and Destroy (HGH Attack):
It's harder to take this area over with bots, but its still good to try. Always throw a grenade before you go to plant just to be safe of C4. Spawn point in the room next to the plant room, one outside the building. Shotguns are especially useful in this area of the map, so Medic(if needed) and Tactician should pick one up if found.

Search and Destroy (HGH Defend):
Turrets in the plant site is very important. C4's where the players have to stand. Spawn point on the stairs leading up to the plant room and one some where in the library for the flank.

Assassination:
Control the middle, it'll help put a lot of pressure on the enemy. Go into the tower next to middle of the map, and find a spot where you can't be hit from outside the building. Turrets and C4's inside and around the outside of the building. Medic should stay close to the assassination target. The pressure in the middle should make them run in quickly instead of taking their time and thinking of a good strategy. ALWAYS HAVE 2 PPL COVERING BOTH WINDOWS OF THE TOWER!!

______________________________________________________________

Tharsis Depot:

Run Down:
This map is special to me because its the only time I'm able to see a color other than gray Very Happy. The second most popular map for 4v4 clan matches. There's a building in the middle and its surrounded by some open area on the sides. It's a pretty even map for both faction, but not in the same way as Radec. Instead of there being 7 even missions, the missions are split up between who has the advantage, but it balances out. Slower and bigger than Radec Academy, so I wouldn't suggest the medic for this map. engineers are a must on this map.

Body Count:
This can be a toss up between both fractions, what i say to do is for both ISA or Helghast to try and control the top area, if you cant control the top camp somewhere close to your S|D area, have turrents, airbots, and c4 all over

Search and Retrieve:
I hate this game mode on this map. The distance between the spawn of the propaganda speaker and where you have to bring it is much shorter than most maps. ISA is at a disadvantage, the area is too cluttered to really get a nice defense going, but of course C4 over the capture point is always a good idea. The HGH can set up really well in front of their base camp, pretty much the exact same thing you would do for Body Count. A good defense is the best offense, let them try to capture and take it and counter. if its 4v4 always have atleast 1 person defending.

Capture and Hold:
This isn't anything special on this map. One point near the HGH base camp, one point near the ISA base camp, one in the depot. You don't have to switch floors to capture any points, but they're good for navigating from point to point and to defend. For HGH, the base camp point under control and its most likely better to snag the one at the ISA base camp. The depot point could get annoying with a lot of bots. For ISA, don't go for the HGH point, keep your base camp point and the depot. -- you WANT to capture the middle on this map, if you cant hold the middle the mission is pretty much over, to capture the middle you need turrets on the top level so they can shoot downward, and turrets IN the actual capture and hold area.

Search and Destroy (ISA Attack):
You won't have to worry about air support very much during this mission. Turrets are really important. Whoever takes the room first is usually whos going to win. Once one side is settled is hard for them to budge seeing as the space is so tight and the turrets and C4's will be too much. Tactician should have a spawn on the top part because that's your best chance at taking the room from the HGH. Have a Rifleman with an LMG with you as well.

Search and Destroy (ISA Defend):
In my opinion ISA have a HUGE advantage over the helghast in this mission, but you need to have the top under control at all times, if you let the helghast control the top, they will set up turrents up there and its gonna be one hell of a time trying to defend. if you control the top, have atleast 2 turrents on the top, and 2 turrets down low by the plant site, also keep the airs out at all times

Search and Destroy (HGH Attack):
If you take the area you'll be alright. The plant site is far away from the ISA base camp so you'll have good time to plant if you've cleared the place. Use the top of the depot to take any turrets on the ground out. You'll want a Rifleman(LMG) for this, and 2 engineers so they can set up turrets as well, Your Tactician should be in the tower that connects the bridge watching over the battle. He'll help clear people out from afar, and will be able to drop down and move up closer as you make progress.

Assassination:
There's really no key spot for this map. There's no areas where you can easily close off to the enemy. Find a good spot and set up with C4's, air support, and turrets. If you want to switch to Medic fast that's fine. Not a lot of people pull of this game mode from what I've seen and done. Just avoid the enemy, stick together, and kill whatever tries to kill the target.
(i know a good spot for isa but ill have to actually show you in game)
